Getting Started with Let's Mahj Together

Sign up at letsmahjtogether.com with your email address and a password. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to confirm your account. You can also sign in with a magic link sent to your email if you'd rather not remember a password.

After signup, you'll be prompted to set up your player profile: a display name (how other players see you), your home address (used to find nearby games), the mahjong styles you play (American, Riichi, Hong Kong, Chinese Official, Taiwanese, Cantonese, Singaporean, or Other), and your weekly availability. All 7 days are selected by default with default hours of 8 AM–9 PM.

Start typing your street address and we'll suggest matches in real time using OpenStreetMap. Pick the right one and city, state, ZIP, and coordinates fill in automatically. Your exact address is never shared with other players — they only see your initials and approximate distance.

Travel is a great time to slip away for some "you time." Temporarily change your ZIP code from Account → Traveling? and find a game where you are. Set an end date and your home location is restored automatically when you're back. See the "Traveling? Set a Temporary Location" guide for the full walk-through.

Pick "Push Only" (mobile app), "SMS Only", or "Push + SMS". If you choose SMS, you'll enter a US/Canada phone number, receive a 4-digit code, and verify it before continuing. You can change this later in Account → Notification Preferences.

Let's Mahj Together starts with a 30-day free trial at the Standard level. After that, choose Priority ($10/month) to search and host games and be notified first, or Standard ($5/month) to receive game invites by SMS or push and join the ones you like.

You can use Let's Mahj Together three ways: through the web at letsmahjtogether.com, via SMS commands (no app needed), or — coming soon — through the iPhone and Android apps. All three stay in sync because they share the same account.
