Finding Games and Players Near You

The player board shows initials of Let's Mahj Together members near you at preset distances — 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, and 50 miles. This helps you gauge how many potential players are in your area before you commit to a game.

On the web go to Browse, or tap the Games tab in the mobile app. You'll see all open games within your search radius (set in Account → My Location). Each card shows the game type, date and time, venue, and how many seats are still open.

Visiting another city? Tap "Different Location" on the Browse screen, search for the city or address, and pick your radius. You'll see open games in that area without changing your home address.

You don't have to refresh the app constantly. When a host creates a game within your radius, you'll get an SMS, push notification, and/or email invite based on your notification preferences. Priority subscribers are notified immediately; Standard and Free Trial after 15 minutes.

For Standard players: tap your push notification or reply JOIN to your SMS invite — that's how you accept. For Priority players: you can also browse all open games in the app or web and tap "Join Game" to claim a seat without waiting for an invite.

Games close to new joiners as soon as they're full. If you try to join a full game, you're added to the waitlist — if someone drops, the next waitlisted player is moved up automatically.
